Swiftwood Bows Rekindle the romance of traditional archery with a custom crafted, Swiftwood bow. I can accommodate most size and weight specifications or style preferences.

Each Swiftwood bow is a unique piece of art but it is also a functional and deadly weapon that will stand up to the abuse of a long hunt, shoot true at the range and will turn people's heads as a center piece on the mantle. My bows are made from carefully selected staves of yew, osage orange, vine maple, ocean spray and other high quality bow woods. They are either self bows or backed with natural materials such as sinew, rawhide or snake skins. They can be elaborately decorated or simple and primitive but all are built to shoot true and to last for decades. If you don't see what you are looking for or have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. This is a one-man business built on integrity and customer satisfaction.

I got a new sign made to use at events. Big thanks to Ken Cramp for having me out to his shop, providing the oak slab and helping me plane and sand it! Big thanks to Lorien Olive for hand painting my logo! And, as always, thanks to Angela Franklin for the killer design.

I squeaked in a new bow for sale between the custom orders that I've been working on. This one is different than a lot of the bows I've been making recently. It's an ironwood hollow limb design. I've been working on this bow on and off (mostly off 😅) for a few years now but I finally got a surge of inspiration and finished it up. There are more details in the album description. Let me know if you're interested!

This unique bow is made from an ironwood stave. It has a willow leaf profile and a hollow limb design. The bow is 68" long, was heat tempered and tillered to 50 #@29”. Naturally a whitewood, this bow was stained with a combination of several leather dyes to create a rich color. The tip overlays are buffalo horn and the handle wrap is beaver tail leather set up to be ambidextrous.
