I’ve been a little quiet lately, and I wanted to talk about why.

I’ve lived with the highs and lows of bipolar disorder my entire life. As I’ve gotten older, those swings have become harder for me to navigate—and sometimes harder to climb back out of.

Owning a business is hard for anyone. Owning a business while living with bipolar disorder adds another layer that people don’t always see.

There are times when my mind is moving faster than I can keep up with everything, and there are times when simply finding the motivation to answer a message, fill an order or show up online feels like climbing a mountain.

So when I go quiet, I haven’t disappeared. Sometimes I’m just in a rut trying to find my way back out.

And I’m learning that I don’t always have to fight my way out by working harder.

Sometimes I need to make soap.
Sometimes I need to fill your orders.
Sometimes I need to build something with my hands.
Sometimes I need to step away from everything and go have an ice cream with someone I love. ❤️🍦

Soap making, bath products and construction might seem like completely different worlds, but for me they have something important in common: I get to create something with my hands. There’s something grounding about starting with raw materials and ending the day knowing I made something that wasn’t there before.

And lately, I’ve been giving myself more permission to spend time doing the things that bring me joy and help steady me.

This isn’t a pity post. I don’t want anyone feeling sorry for me. I’m sharing this because mental health doesn’t always look like someone falling apart. Sometimes it looks like unanswered messages. A quiet business page. Orders taking a little longer. Stepping away from social media. Or choosing an afternoon eating ice cream instead of forcing yourself through another day.

I’m still here. I’m still creating. I’m still building. I’m still filling orders.

I’m just learning that taking care of the person behind the business has to matter too.

So if you’ve noticed I’ve been quieter than usual, that’s where I’ve been.

Finding my footing.
Working with my hands.
Making room for the people and things I love.
And enjoying the ice cream along the way. ❤️🍦

Thank you to everyone who continues to support my businesses through both the loud seasons and the quiet ones. It means more than you probably realize.

If you read this all the way here thank you it was a long post ❤️
