People were always posting about it on Facebook but I never took the time to see what it was all about. In November of 2011, my friend Leah invited me to a party she was having. I went to her house just to see what was the big deal about Scentsy and fell in love. The scents were amazing and I found out that I could leave a warmer on 24/7 without having to worry about it catching fire. I had a very
bad habit of lighting candles and then leaving the house. We were living paycheck to paycheck and so I wasn’t planning on buying anything at that time. Then came the door prize drawing and I won a bar of Love Story. I took the catalog home and showed it to my husband. He picked out a warmer, Silvervine, so we could try out the bar. The warmer came in and we both loved it. My husband loved that he didn’t have to worry about me catching to house on fire if I left it on, I loved that the fragrance lasted so long! In June of 2012 I decided to join Scentsy to help a friend meet a challenge. My only plan was to be my own best customer. As time went on I fell more in love with the products and the home office staff. The people I met from Scentsy loved their jobs and wanted to help you succeed. I started focusing more on Scentsy in August of 2013. Within 3 months I had grown to a team of 13 people and promoted to Director. Shortly after that I earned my first all-expense paid trip for 2 to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. It was on the trip that I realized how much the home office staff, especially Orville & Heidi care for the consultants. They treated everyone like family, it didn’t matter if you were a new consultant or a Super Star Director. To them, we were all important. Since that trip I have had the privilege to travel all over the country and the world with Scentsy. From Leadership & World Tour to Reunion & Incentive Trips. There is nothing like traveling with your Scentsy family. Scentsy has given me the confidence and belief in myself that I can do it. I never felt I was good enough to earn an incentive trip or lead a team. I have found that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. This past year I earned my first top tier trip and finished #56 in the entire world. I never thought that would be possible, but it is. You can do it too! My team has grown to over 200 amazing consultants that I call my friends. Since starting Scentsy I have moved cross country twice and I love that I have the flexibility to work my business wherever I am. I can stay home with my three kids who are 9, 7, and 4. My oldest is a competitive gymnast and Scentsy helps cover his expenses. It is easy to fit Scentsy into my life and work it with my kids. They love helping me unpack, label & sort orders. As a Combat Veteran I have a hard time working a full-time job. I have a TBI (traumatic brain injury), short term memory loss, no peripheral vision in my left eye and more. Scentsy gives me the freedom to contribute to my family and work on the good days. I don’t have to worry about working on the bad days or asking for time off if one of my kids are sick.
