You never know who you’ll meet when you step out of your comfort zone.
Moving to without knowing anyone here at an age when making new friends is low on the priority list and you work remotely, is difficult.
But lucky me, Sue Zelickson, had already created an organization specifically for me to find women like me. Women in food. Women who wanted to connect, support and talk food.
Sue was small in stature but BIG in spirit.
I’ve also been lucky enough to know people who have lived long lives and being around them, listening to their stories, holding their hands, does something to you. If nothing else it gives you hope.
I’m thankful I got to meet Sue. I’m thankful I got to hear her stories. And I’m thankful for the legacy she left us. Women Who Really Cook
