Brain fart of the day.

I use short bolts in the fixture... forgetting that it uses 60mm long bolts in assembly. F**k. Undo and figure out a workaround.

There is only so much I can do to keep the the clocking of both the inlet and the outlet.

So I decided that changing the inlet tube was the best call. The tube does not have a ton of wrap but it has worked well in a few of my other projects that have left the building.

I weld everything up Thursday... that the customers job date.

A DIY kit that was welded up by someone's fabricator is in to be duplicated... and fixed.

What is being fixed?

Just goes to show that welding is just one part of the job. Problem solving and knowledge of how things work are not a given just because one can weld.

It also highlights the limitations of what can be built with my DIY product. Wait to see how I accomplish the fix.

I have made a number of these (by hand) over the years but never advertised or promoted them, mainly because they were labor intensive and I already have a bunch of stuff that pays much better.

Well, with all the thermostat housing related stuff going on... I decided to just run a batch. Who knows, maybe a lower price point and having them on the shelf turns this into something viable.

Will be on the site once I take delivery and photos.
