Finally found a coin I’ve been looking for a long time — the 1938 Oregon Trail Memorial Half Dollar graded ICG MS66. Many collectors consider this one of the greatest classic U.S. commemorative coin designs ever issued.

Issued to honor the pioneers of the Oregon Trail, the 1938 coins had very low mintages, with only about 6,000 struck at each mint that year. I would’ve preferred a PCGS holder, but this example had the eye appeal and detail I was searching for.

Definitely one of my favorite finds in a long time.
