A three-time Mr. Universe champion (1951, 1958, and 1965), Reg Park became one of the most influential physiques of all time and inspired generations of lifters, including a young Arnold Schwarzenegger. Although he never won the Mr. Olympia title, his impact on the sport was undeniable.
Park believed that building an extraordinary physique started with building extraordinary strength. His training centered on heavy compound movements like squats, bench presses, overhead presses, rows, and deadlifts, following a progressive overload approach that emphasized adding weight and becoming stronger over time. He proved that massive strength and classic symmetry could coexist, creating a physique that remains iconic decades later.
