A storefront update ✨

1. Floor trim will be done this weekend
3. The checkout counter is being built.
4. Bookshelves have arrived and ready for assembly
5. I’m starting to pack up items to start bringing things over to the store
6. Rewards program is in the works
7. I have an opening date in mind and hope to share that soon

As shared before, if you’d like to donate to help with funding I have created the link to do so. This is a free will donation. You can choose to donate or not! It’s completely up to you! I only created it due to a few friends and family who wanted to help support my storefront.

Question(s) of the day

I’ve had some questions asked, so I wanted to clarify a few things. I will answer three questions at a time, maybe 2-3 times a week (or as needed). Feel free to comment your questions and I’ll get those answered for you!

Q1) Why open in Versailles, IN?

A) I’ve been looking for a location that fit my vibe + my budget. The perfect place became available and when I checked it out, I loved the possibilities. Versailles is also my home town, where I graduated highschool. I still live here to this day with my husband and our fur babies. I know there’s a bookstore here already, but we are completely different! I am a niche bookstore, selling the romance genre only. I’m here to compliment the town by offering a unique experience!

Q2) What books will you carry?

A) I am a ROMANCE ONLY bookstore. More specifically, I’ll carry books in the following genres: Contemporary Romance, Paranormal Romance, Dark Romance, Romantasy, and Fantasy Romance. These titles will be for Young Adult, New Adult, and Adult audiences.

At this time, I will not have children’s books.

There is a lovely bookstore in town that carries books outside of Romance for you to browse!

Q3) Will you carry items other than books?

A) Yes! I have a ton of fun accessories that will be available to shop! Expect to find: candles and home sprays, bookmarks, stickers, tote bags, shirts, stationary and coloring supplies, beauty products, teas and drinks (bottles & cans), candies and snacks (pre-packaged), and more!

I have learned so much since I started renovating my bookstore. I’ve learned how to mud drywall and how much my arms hurt after a day of sanding it smooth. I’ve learned to always prime, even if the color is light. I’ve learned to keep an alani with me to give me the extra boost as 3pm so I can work until 6pm. Most importantly, I’ve learned how amazing my family is to help through this whole process.

It might not look like much has happened yet, but my family and I have worked hard to make this place into the bookstore of my dreams. I cannot wait to share the final product!
