The best design choices don’t compete for attention.

Yesterday, I shared that a room has to work before we decide how it should look.

And then comes the fun part, giving that room personality.

Color. Texture. Florals. Details that draw your eye and help shape the atmosphere.

This arrangement brought bold color to the table without needing to overpower everything around it.

That’s the balance I’m always looking for: function gives the design direction, and design gives the experience personality.

I spend so much of my professional life helping couples prepare for a wedding day. Today, I’m celebrating the marriage I’ve been nurturing for 12 YEARS!

Weddings are some of the most beautiful days many of us will experience in our lifetime celebrating us. Aside from that, what’s really been beautiful is growing together, raising a family, navigating change and overcoming challenges, laughing, learning, loving, and choosing each other day after day!

It’s priceless!
