I was going through some old memories. I found this picture of a field I build in Sumy, Ukraine in 2003. i actually built two fields there a kid's field and this one an adult field. As far as i know they are still playing on this one. What the heck I will post the kid's field too.

This Al series is showing the entire Yankee organization to be terrible on the bases. Stealing 3rd in scoring position yes there was one out but in a half hearted manner with a left hitter, badly reading a ball in the dirt again in a half hearted manner and now lead off batter gets a hit, 2nd batter smacks a clear double so the pitcher is not fooling anyone and you send the runner home to make the first out in the first inning at the plate. Do they talk this game at all on their club?

I am trying to choose an aluminum bat for a 13 year old in Slovakia. They do not play many games and the pitching is pretty soft. He is a fairly strong boy and I have taught him a short quick swing. I would like to find him the best value for the money. I am his coach not a parent. Also the pay in Slovakia is about $1500 to $2000 a month. I am thinking he will be able to just handle a 32 this year but this bat has to last him until he is 16 when he will become a junior and go to wood. Any ideas?

Hurray. Today I got my Visa to Poland and the Schengen. I now plan to live permanently for the rest of my life in Europe. I hope to use whatever strength and intelligence I have left to teach and coach baseball.

Tonight is an example of one of the main reasons I truly enjoy the game of baseball. It teaches to never quit when there is a chance to succeed. Great battle Cleveland. I tuned you out to watch the Dodgers/Mets. Shame on me.

I just watched Judge hit one opposite to tie the game. This swing was a mix of what Teacherman teaches and a conventional swing. He started his rotation with his torso as Teacherman likes, but it was an outsied pitch and he extended his hands to the ball and created bat speed with his very powerful hands and wrists. This is the very best example of how what works when it works is what to do.

Anything in your swing technique that does not make you quicker to the ball, able to adjust to the pitch and faster though it should not be part of your swing technique. Anyone teaching you how to swing should be able to answer any question as how their technique accomplishes the above.

Question. What is faster how fast someone can move their feet or how fast someone can throw? Easy answer yes. So why do coaches teach defenders to take so many steps? I teach move to get your balance, your load and to be able to control your throw. No more no less.

How would you pitch Judge? Myself I have chosen to pitch low and away to people who use the rotational method. Of course low and away if you have control is a pretty hard to hit pitch regardless what technique you use.
