FLOWER SHARE | week five
The filler flowers this time of year are enough to make you go 🤤
Can you see the lily peeking through?
Lilies are a flower I don’t grow many of mostly due to cost and this year, rising tariffs. Lily bulbs come from overseas and so we grow only enough to satisfy our appetite for their beauty. We perennialize them so that the one bulb has the potential for many flowers over time, and the perennial areas of our farm continue to give back to the land we’re currently on. This year they have more height on them and some of them are putting on closer to three flowers.
The abundance of summer is upon us and soon I’ll be eating sweet corn any chance I get.
This share is inspired by mama maíz and the summer sun 🌞🌽
