LOWER COLUMBIA ANGLERS — HEADS UP!

WDFW has made an important change to Chinook retention rules on the Lower Columbia, effective Aug. 25 through Sept. 2.

And here’s why — Chinook catches at Buoy 10 have been tracking ABOVE preseason expectations!

The planned non-mark-selective Chinook fishery will NOT go into effect as originally planned. Chinook retention will remain mark-selective, meaning hatchery Chinook only, to help reduce impacts on wild Chinook.

If you’re heading toward Buoy 10, Tongue Point or the Puget Island area, take a look before you go — and make a stop at Outfitters on your way! We can get you stocked up with the bait, tackle and fishing gear you need before you hit the water. 🎣

⚠️ As always, regulations can change in-season. Check WDFW emergency rules or the Fish Washington app for the latest information before fishing.

Good luck out there — and send us those catch photos! We love seeing what our local anglers are bringing in.
