One on One off

As we approach the year's end, my mind keeps rewinding to October 2022, and a particular phrase that's stuck with me: "We all start at zero."

Let's flashback to October '22. That's when I geared up for the Devil's Den challenge in October '23. My trainer had me on a simple routine: one minute on, one minute off. I'll admit I was confused and deflated at first. How could this prepare me for the race, right?

But here's the magic of it—I had a trainer for a reason. She was setting me up for success. Those baby steps laid the groundwork, and over time, my running escalated into something more advanced.

Whenever I dive into something new, I remember that one-minute on, one-minute off concept. It's so easy to compare ourselves to others, thinking we must match their pace or achievements. But here's the truth:
We don't know their journey's struggles before this point.
We're unaware of the time they've invested in their project.
What we see is just a snippet, not the whole story.
Their journey is not our journey.

Fast forward 365 days to my race—there I was, conquering the challenge. As we gear up for 2024 and new aspirations, remember: we all began at one minute on and one minute off.

Need some guidance for your journey? I'm offering a FREE 30-minute one-on-one session. Drop a "HELP" comment below, and I'll reach out with details. Let's make 2024 an incredible journey together!

Here's to the steps we take and the progress we make, inch by inch, minute by minute

SHE RISES!

Hey there, amazing souls! 🌸 Tomorrow marks the beginning of a journey that's all about breaking barriers, shattering molds, and embracing the power within us to rise above societal expectations. ✨

For the longest time, I've found myself striving to meet everyone else's needs, placing my aspirations on the back burner. But about a decade ago, I had an epiphany. I realized I was in the wrong place, a place that dimmed my light and stifled my growth. That realization sparked a change within me—an awakening.

Today, I stand before you as someone dedicated to smashing the molds that confine us. We often trap ourselves within boundaries—generational, societal, or those crafted by our own minds. We echo phrases like, "This is how it's always been done!" or "My family did it this way!" While not inherently negative, these words become shackles when they hinder us from exploring new paths, inhibit our growth, or chase our dreams just because they're unfamiliar to our kin.

Growing up, conflict was the soundtrack in my household. Amidst it all, I chose kindness. My mom once questioned why I chose this path, and I made her realize that kindness is a choice, even amidst chaos. I encouraged her to embrace it, too, showing her there's power in walking away from conflict rather than perpetuating it. It was a revelation for her—a simple yet transformative notion.

Let's break free from these molds that confine us. Let's soar above the lessons society teaches, surpass the expectations thrust upon us, and, most importantly, reach for our dreams.

Are you ready to be part of SHE RISES in 2024? Drop a YES below and join this empowering movement! Together, let's rise, break barriers, and embrace our true potential! 🌟💪🚀

If you have this, then you have fear.

You know, if you have this thing, then it means you've got fear lingering around. I used to thrive on perfection; it felt like having everything sorted, and everyone around me seemed to think so. But that changed when I started linking all of my self-worth to perfectionism.

Why is it that we feel this incessant need to be flawless? When we look at others, we only see what they want us to see, just like me. We're afraid to reveal our flaws because it seems like it'll do more harm than good.

Personally, I was terrified of judgment or, worse, being mocked. I grew up in an environment where teasing someone was almost like saying, 'I care,' a sentiment I only understood much later in life. Eventually, I realized the fear of being laughed at fueled my relentless pursuit of perfection.

I've adopted a new motto now: 'Lean in and do it messy.' Let me clarify, though—I do put in the effort to present my best self. I do make mistakes, but nowadays, I take those mistakes as lessons. We need to be okay with making mistakes or things not being absolutely perfect. In fact, we should welcome the growth that comes from imperfection.

So, what do you reckon? Can we accept imperfection and let go of the fear of worrying about what others might think? Comment YES below if you agree.

Mind-blowing and so simple!

It's time for a new attitude!

At the end of the year, I know I am exhausted, ready for some quiet time, and to get back into a schedule and routine. Let's start with these four simple steps to ensure we hit 2024 with a bang.

Mirror Affirmation: Start your day by looking in the mirror and telling yourself something positive. Embrace self-love by saying "I love her" (or "I love myself") and focus on something you appreciate about yourself. 🤗❤️

Nutrition & Movement: Fuel your body with nutritious foods that make you feel good from the inside out. Combine it with movement—whether it's a walk, yoga, or a workout—to energize your spirit! 🥦💪

Gratitude Practice: Take a moment to acknowledge the blessings in your life. Write down or reflect on three things you're grateful for each day. Gratitude shifts perspective and brings joy! 🙏✨

Focus on Change: Instead of dwelling on what you can't control, focus on what you can change. Redirect your energy towards positive actions and solutions. Every small step counts! 💡🌈

Small adjustments in your daily routine can greatly impact your mindset. Embrace these simple changes and watch positivity flourish! 💫

Share your thoughts and experiences below. Let's inspire each other! 🌟

What if? That doesn't work for me!

During my intense training phase, I found myself tangled up in anxiety, imposter syndrome, procrastination, and self-doubt. Three months down the line, I found myself on the brink of wanting to throw in the towel!

Why does this fear persist? I could feel failure inching closer. Then, something shifted when I began journaling about it; suddenly, a realization hit me like a bolt of lightning. I was scared of success.

Why on earth would I be afraid of succeeding? I mean, who wouldn't want to achieve success? And then, I confronted myself with those two loaded words: What if?

What if I achieve success?
What shape does that success take?
How does it feel?
What does it truly mean?
Who will I become?
What will others think?
Does success mean I have to keep pushing forward endlessly?
What happens if success eludes me?

You get the gist! All these emotions were swirling around something that hadn't even happened yet. So, how did I overcome this, continue my journey, and reach my goal? I started addressing my WHAT IF questions head-on.

What's your WHAT IF? What's holding you back in fear? If you're ready to start unraveling those obstacles, I've got you covered! Drop FEAR in the comments for my free e-book: "Start taking your power back from FEAR!"

Remember, the power to break free is already within you, beautiful!

We are so much alike.

Ever feel like change has a knack for sneaking up on you just when you've settled into a groove? Yep, I've been there too.

I'm diving into another round of training, and let me tell you, the weight just got heavier, the runs longer, and the expectations higher. Just when I thought I'd crossed the finish line, my trainer hits me with, "Nope, can't let your body get too comfy."

It's funny how change creeps in, right? Initially, I'm pumped about the challenge, but then doubts start whispering, self-sabotage knocks at the door, and suddenly, I'm resisting the very thing I was excited about. Can anyone else relate?

When I hit these moments of discomfort, I lean hard into my support system, take a deep dive into self-reflection, and really hone in on my project (or goal, as some might call it).

So, here's the kicker: Are you prepped for those unexpected curveballs on your path to chasing your dreams? I've got your back. Drop a "CHANGE" in the comments, and I'll slide you a free copy of my e-book, "Embracing Change." Trust me, it's a game-changer!

Keep pushing through those changes, folks. We've got this!

I want to break things.

As women, we sometimes question whether we genuinely fit into certain spaces. I've experienced that cycle of doubt firsthand—I've been there, asking the same question more times than I can count. But here's what I've learned: it's not about belonging; it's about realizing that we deserve to break free from these doubts.

My drive stems from breaking this cycle and showing that you deserve to break it, too. It's high time we shattered these confining expectations, especially for those feeling suffocated by societal pressures to conform.

I kickstarted my journey towards liberation with a vital step: self-assessment. Understanding our genuine desires and recognizing our importance is where the transformation begins.

The Wheel of Life isn't just a tool—it's more like a master key, unlocking the hidden potential within us. If I'd continued to believe I didn't belong in certain rooms, I wouldn't have achieved what I have:
Earning my college degree.
Escaping toxic relationships.
Relocating across the country.
Building my business.
Becoming an ultra trail runner.

So, what room calls to you? It's not about the room itself; it's about understanding that our presence, aspirations, and significance matter everywhere we go—be it a boardroom or any space we step into.

Let's embark on this journey together, uncovering the treasure that continuously resides within us. What room do you envision for yourself?

Share it in the comments below; I'd love to hear your aspirations and support your journey.
