You don’t need every necklace length to create a layered look.

Here I’m pairing a 16" chainmail choker with a 20" necklace, leaving a little extra space between the two. That separation lets both pieces have their own moment without competing.

Start close, add some space, and build from there.

Sometimes two layers are all you need.

When I named this collection CHAPTER ONE — WOMEN OF THE HEART, I realized I needed to explain one important thing:

The women are the necklaces themselves.

There’s the one you reach for when you need confidence.
The one that reminds you of a certain time in your life.
The one someone special gave you.
The one that somehow ends up feeling like an old friend.

Each named necklace in this chapter is one-of-one. Once she finds her person, she won’t be made again.

Something new is coming to Erika Liesel.

CHAPTER ONE — WOMEN OF THE HEART launches October 8.

This collection started with an idea I kept coming back to: jewelry has a way of becoming more than something we wear. A piece can remind us of a moment, make us feel a little more confident, or quietly become the one we reach for again and again.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing more about the story behind the collection, the women you’ll meet, and how the pieces can be worn and layered.

For now, consider this the first little glimpse.
