It is only a matter of time before their chemistry becomes undeniable, except their is a reason Maverick stood her up on Prom night. His own secret that is life and death. When he Shares this with Ophelia, their world as they know it completely shifts, as he is fighting for his life. Ophelia, the boys, their friends, families, and teammates are forced to navigate tragedy and loss.
This book was great for my hockey romance girlies or guys. There was a good amount of spice, romance, drama, and the characters are relatable too. It checked the boxes for me, however the ending is sad. Like similar to The Me Before You or My Oxford Year sad, but not quite the same. It is also part of a series, and well the next book is about other members of the friend group, I have a feeling we will see more of the charm, drama, and spice in those stories as well!
