If you haven't seen my post before, I have been helping my mom secure a loan to purchase her first home. On top of that, I am using my savings and took out a small loan to cover what is needed for closing costs, moving costs, and some renovation work. This new home is on Detroit's northeast side, close to the lake and within a nice area.

I will be heading to Detroit to work on the gutters, the basement, and a few other things to save money. "Midlife Stockman," a well-known YouTuber in Detroit who restores yards of abandoned and neglected homes throughout the area, has agreed to renovate the land on Tuesday, saving me a ton of cash.

I'm currently in the final stages, helping my mom close on her first, and forever home. She is 70, and her rent just keeps going up. After this, her monthly payments will go down by half and stay that way.

After watching the closing costs numbers go up and down, during this proccess, I am worried about where things will stand with me once everything is done and I am back home in Utah. So I'm offering HUGE discount on my paintings in the form of "Bundle Deal" to try to close the gap in my worries. My financial struggles are going to get real. I have been planning to move back east for a while now and was saving up until we agreed on this idea for my mom and me in the future. It is the better choice for the family overall. I don't want to stay in Utah more than another year, but I really can't make that move until I get my finances back on track.

I started a GoFundMe for those who are not interested in purchasing my bundle deals on my website. I'm trying to sell them or raise money for this. My goal is to raise enough money to make sure everything is taken care of and that I don't find myself starting completely over when it comes time to save for my own move.

My goal is $5,000 to $9,000, which would be enough to keep me in the black and not red once this is all done. Closing cost alone will cost me just over $6500 right now. I know we are going to get this home across the finish line. It is everything that comes after that I need to work hard on, so I can eventually move to Detroit, closer to the new home, Then start saving up to build an ADU on the lot we are getting next to the house. From there I can move in and continue to expand the backyard, giving our family a place to truly call home.

As I continue to offer more deals in order to raise the funds needed to stay above the closing, moving, and renovation costs of this new home, I have an offer for those who may want a bundle of canvas print images. I'm posting this to my page and spreading it to the masses in different groups. Please pass it along to anyone who may be interested.

For the first time ever, my mom is getting a home. Not because life made it easy, but because she wanted to have something to call her own and leave behind for me and our family. Over the years I will be saving up to build an ADU on the property and turn the land into a peaceful space where I can watch over my mom while she maintains her independence. Right now we are just focused on getting this home closed in Detroit, Michigan.

As we get closer to closing, I find myself wondering if we will have enough to cover everything that comes after. The minor repair work, the moving expenses, and making sure she has everything she needs to live in the home safely and comfortably. Some corners are being cut to make this happen, but we are almost there. I still need to make sure the basics are in place, like a stove and refrigerator, before she moves in.

This post is about raising those funds by selling my art. For those who do not have the funds right now, I completely understand the moment we are all in.
