Sue's Den

Sue's Den Welcome to Sue's Den. I have always loved to sew. But work and kids made it hard to find the time. But when the kids flew the nest and I retired I made the time.

I took over Stan's beloved TV room and made it mine. That room became Sue's Den.

Something a little different. This is my lovely niece, Kate, and her wife, Jane at their June wedding. Their bouquets featured beautiful sunflowers. I had the photo printed in black & white and I embroidered directly onto the photo. I only embroidered the flowers makeing them pop right off the photo.

Let me know if this is something you would like to pursue with your own photo.

With the holiday season approaching check out these trivit/hot pads. They have a thermal inner layer to protect your surfaces and you can use either side. I can also customize them with your choice of size and design.

Hello. Welcome to Sue's Den. I have always loved to sew. But work and kids made it hard to find the time. But when the kids flew the nest and I retired I made the time. I took over Stan's beloved TV room and made it mine. That room became Sue's Den. There is a wonderful sign on the door that says, "The Witch is In".

I started slowly with doll clothes. I made complete outfits for the 18" American Girl type dolls. Fun, but any doll can have just so many clothes. Then I did a class at my local quilt shop and started making tote bags, making improvements and embellishments with each one. Then I discovered embroidery! Now I am on a mission to see how many things I can make and embroider.

Hats, aprons, headbands, tea towels, barretts, coasters, note cards .... and yes, more doll clothes. Watch for new ideas and please visit Sue's Den on Etsy.
