Hi it’s me, Cat 👋 the person behind Grip’s.
I try not to show my face on here much; I’d much prefer having this little space speak for itself, but I figured it was time for a re-introduction since we have some beautiful new followers since the last one!
I never know quite what to share so I hope this little mini bio works 🙃
I’m a mom to two great kiddos, a wife to a very hardworking man, a Pennsylvania native (from the Pittsburgh side), an avid reader of all things classic literature and nearly any non-fiction, especially history. After ROTC in college, I served in the Army Ordnance Corps before becoming a mom and moving here to the farm. 2020 threw things for a loop and I began homeschooling and investing more of my time in the farm.
As a kid I had a little business selling painted pots and seedlings I grew in the basement under a grow light in little plastic cups. Each plant had a name of course. And now here I am, essentially doing the same thing. I didn’t realize it when I started Grip’s just how full-circle it all was.
I like my coffee black☕️
I love snail mail ✉️
I’m a total homebody but when I’m out I love a cozy bookstore, an antique store, a hike, or a museum! 📚
I love learning and experiencing new things 🌎
and of course flowers & plants! 🌻
Also 🐙🌮🥧🍾🎾🏋️♀️🎹😃
Thank you so much for being here and being a part of this little dream.
Do we have anything in common?
