ReStore - Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County

💙 You belong here.

We walk past this board in our ReStore every day, but take a closer look.

Those aren't just pictures.

They're people who decided to give a few hours. People who brought a skill they already had — and people who learned something new. People who came with coworkers, friends or a group — and people who simply showed up on their own.

They're volunteers who have helped in our ReStore, worked alongside our construction team, supported home repair projects and found all kinds of ways to be part of Habitat's work in Carroll County.

And there's room on this board for more stories.

Maybe even yours.

You don't have to know how to build a house. You don't need a particular skill set. You don't have to know anyone when you arrive.

Just bring a willingness to help.

We'll help you find where you fit.

Because at Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County, there isn't just one way to volunteer.

There's a place for you here. 💙

🪑 Somebody has to test the chairs. 😂

Our ReStore volunteers work hard to make sure donations are clean, safe and ready for their next home — but nobody said we couldn't have a little fun while we're doing it!

Yesterday, Aubrey and Louis took one for the team and volunteered for the very demanding job of chair testing. 😉

Sit down. Wiggle a little. Make sure it's sturdy. Maybe get comfortable for a minute...

Quality control is serious business around here. 😂

But this picture also captures something we love about our volunteers. They work hard, they help keep ReStore moving, and they bring plenty of personality and laughter along with them. 💙

Thanks for taking your assignment so seriously, Aubrey and Louis!

And if you're thinking, “Wait...volunteering at ReStore can look like THIS?”

Yep. Come join us. 🔨💙

💙 Teamwork looks good at ReStore!

Friday afternoon, we had the pleasure of welcoming Randy, Kolby and Corey from Cummins Sales and Service Westminster to volunteer with us at ReStore.

Their company encourages employees to spend time volunteering each year, and these three jumped right in! They helped unload furniture donations, cleaned and prepared donated pieces for the sales floor, and then helped move and place furniture throughout the store.

In just a few hours, they made a difference — and gave our ReStore team some very appreciated extra hands. 💪

Thank you, Randy, Kolby and Corey, for choosing to spend your volunteer time with Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County!

And their afternoon with us is also a great reminder: your workplace can do this, too.

Businesses, companies, civic organizations and other groups are welcome to serve together with Habitat. Whether you're looking for an employee volunteer day, a team-building opportunity, or simply a meaningful way for your organization to give back to our community, we'd love to help you find an opportunity to get involved.

In addition to Cars For Homes, which accepts vehicle donations, Habitat ReStores also welcome donations of new or gently used furniture, appliances, housewares, building materials, and more, both large and small. Like Cars For Homes, the proceeds from the sales of these items help support Habitat’s work in your community and around the world.

🏓 FRIDAY FUN at ReStore!

Who's got game? 👀

We spotted this STIGA ping-pong table on the ReStore floor and couldn't resist a little Friday challenge.

$200 — and yes, paddles and ping-pong balls are available at the front checkout counter, so you'll be ready to play!

Now the important question...

WHO are you challenging to the first game? 😂

Tag your opponent below. 👇

And if you've got the perfect spot for it — game room, basement, garage, youth room, rec room — you might want to come see it before somebody else serves up the winning shot. 🏓

There are a lot of hands behind your favorite ReStore finds. ❤️

Before something catches your eye on the sales floor, there are people helping make that moment happen.

Our ReStore volunteers clean, organize, move, arrange and stage donated items. They straighten shelves, create displays, lend a hand wherever it's needed — and bring their own creativity and personality to the store along the way.

These may look like small tasks. But together, they help keep our ReStore moving and support Habitat for Humanity's work right here in Carroll County.

We're grateful for the hands — and the hearts — behind our ReStore. 💙

Interested in joining them? We'd love to tell you more about volunteering with us.
