Thrips are tiny… but the damage they leave behind is anything but 👀🌸
In this video, you can see one of the telltale signs of thrips damage: curling and distorted petals. But that’s not the only way thrips can affect your plants.
Common signs of thrips damage include:
• Curling, distorted, or deformed flowers and petals
• Silvery or bronzed patches on leaves
• Stippled or speckled foliage
• Scarring and rough-looking plant tissue
• Distorted or stunted new growth
• Tiny black specks of frass on leaves and flowers
• Flowers that fail to open normally
And because thrips are SO small, they can be difficult to spot until the damage becomes obvious.
That’s why we like a multi-layered approach 👇
Our Thrips Control Garden Pack includes:
✨ Orius — actively hunt thrips, including eggs, larvae, and adults
✨ Amblyseius cucumeris — work alongside Orius above ground to target thrips larvae hiding on foliage
✨ SF Beneficial nematodes — target the thrips pupae hiding in the soil
Different life stages can be hiding in different places, so having beneficials working above AND below the soil gives you a more well-rounded defense.
