How to (and NOT TO) make Lavender Goat Milk Soap!
Iβm the Soap Lady from Bush Crafts Handmade.
Ingredients:
32 oz of Goat milk soap base
drops of Lavender oil (your choice)
2 Tbsp Raw Coconut Butter or Coconut Oil
4 drops Purple colorant
Lavender Flowers for topping
Also need:
2 double boilers (I get creative)
A metal spoon
A scale for weighing
A mold for the soap
Soap cutter (for later)
The trick:
Melt 16oz (half) of the goat milk soap in one double boiler till melted. Add half of the lavender oil and coconut butter/coconut oil. Use this as your first layer poured into the mold.
Melt 16oz (half) of the goat milk soap base in another double boiler till melted. Add the other half of your lavender oil and coconut butter/coconut oil. Also add your purple colorant.
Pour into the mold as the second layer soon after the first was poured. You want the first layer to be still kind of wet.
Immediately sprinkle on your lavender flowers.
Wait for it to harden.
Cut into soap bars and use!

Note: Please be careful as melted soap is hot and use proper safety equipment as needed. Please make sure to research the proper precautions like having good ventilation!
Also, I use Velona Goat Milk Soap Base (it hardens quickly).
