There is currently an outbreak of Tuberculosis in Kansas and surrounding areas. TB Bacteria are resistant to many common disinfectants. Please use the following guidelines to address these concerns. To effectively disinfect surfaces contaminated with TB Bacteria (Mycobacterium Tuberculosis), follow these best practices:

1. Wear PPE. Gloves, N95 or higher masks and eye protection.
2. Remove organic matter. Wipe off dust, blood or bodily fluids
before disinfecting.
3. Apply disinfectant by spraying the entire surface. Ensure surface remains wet for the products recommended contact time.
4. Allow to air dry. Do not wipe immediately. Let your disinfectant work.
5. Dispose of cleaning materials properly. Place used wipes and gloves in a biohazard bag.

Ensure good ventilation. Regularly disinfect high-touch areas and surfaces.
By following these methods, you can effectively eliminate TB bacteria from surfaces and reduce the risk of transmission.
We recommend the following products.

Spartan TB-Cide Quat or Profect HP. These products are available at Williams in both RTU and concentrated formulas.
