A little behind the scenes. 💐

One thing I always do before calling a bridal bouquet finished is the mirror check. Looking at it from a different perspective helps me spot little gaps, flowers that need to be turned, or stems that need to be tucked in.

Do you see the gap in this one?

Note to self: two weddings plus the farmers market in a 24 hour span is a lot 😅 don’t do that.

This basil deserves its own photoshoot. 😂🌿

The crazy part? My greenhouse basil was planted about a month after my field basil, but it’s almost twice as tall! Same seed, same care, completely different growing environment.

Seeing results like this reminds me why building the greenhouse was worth every bit of work. (Shout out to my husband bc I definitely didn’t build it.) It has completely changed what I’m able to grow and the quality I can offer.

I may smell like basil for the rest of the day, but I’m not complaining. 💚🌱

This zinnia has become a little experiment. 🌸

It was cut on July 15.

It spent an entire week at Dummy Apparel waiting to find a home. The water wasn’t changed or topped off during that time, and honestly, I expected it to be ready for the compost by the time I brought it home.

Instead…here we are.

Two weeks later, it’s still bright, cheerful, and putting on a show in my kitchen.

This is one of the biggest reasons I believe in buying locally grown flowers. My flowers are harvested at peak freshness instead of spending days in shipping and distribution before they ever reach a vase. That freshness often means you get to enjoy them much longer.

And it’s not just this one flower.

One of the comments I hear most from customers is, “Your flowers last so much longer than I’m used to.” 💛

That’s the kind of value I want every bouquet to bring—not just beautiful flowers for a day or two, but flowers that keep bringing joy long after you take them home.

Shopping local really does make a difference. 🌿

🍂 It’s official! 🍂

I’m so excited to finally share something we’ve been dreaming up…

This October, City Harvest Greenhouse is teaming up with our friends at Inflorescence Farm LLC to host our very first Fall Floral Arrangement Workshop! 🌻

As two local flower farmers (and best friends ❤️), we’re passionate about growing beautiful flowers—but we’re just as passionate about teaching others how to use them with confidence.

This won’t be a “copy exactly what we do” workshop. We’ll teach you the why behind floral design—from creating a strong foundation to placing focal flowers, adding movement, and helping your arrangement last longer. Our goal is for you to leave with skills you can use long after the workshop is over.

Your ticket includes:
🎃 A ceramic pumpkin vase keepsake
🌼 Locally grown seasonal flowers from our fields
🌿 Hands-on instruction from both of us
🍂 Light fall refreshments
☕ A cozy afternoon at Fairmount Coffee Co. (with specialty drinks available for purchase)

✨ Seating is limited to just 20 guests so we can provide plenty of one-on-one guidance.

We would absolutely love to spend an afternoon creating with you!

📅 Saturday, October 10
🕒 3:00–5:00 PM
💲 $65 per person
