The kids have been doing Jiu-Jitsu for little over a year now! We don't want all that hard work going to waste so we have kept the kids in the gym training at every location we could! South Dakota and Wyoming we were in the middle of NOWHERE and there were no gyms close by. We have been on the road for 6 weeks and only 2 of the weeks the kids were unable to train.

Starting a new nightly routine.

On days that the kids don't have school we are gonna start reading for 45 mins every night before dinner. James and I included. James already reads every night so nothing new for him. But I'm not a reader and never have been. So making myself read every night will be a challenge. Lol. But I think it will be good for me. I have a book called Back to Eden that I've been wanting to read so I think I'm gonna alternate nights. Tonight I'm continuing my reading in the book of Genesis and tomorrow I'll start Back to Eden.

The older three have books they have picked out to read. The youngest three are doing reading eggs. Our oldest son can read some but he struggles and reading eggs has helped improve his reading skills.

We started our school year early!

Since we are traveling we decided to start our year early but only have school 3 days a week.

Homeschooling looks different when you are traveling.

To save on weight and storage we decided to switch to Miacademy this year. So we will have a mix of online work and paperwork versus all textbooks like previous years.

Our youngest isn't school age yet but he started Reading Eggs and is loving it so far.
