IGFA Captain/Guide with over 50 years of surf fishing experience... On the beach/hands on instruction. I have been Surf Fishing for over 45 years. I grew up fishing the Outer Banks of North Carolina and now live in Wilmington, NC. Any success or expertise I may have regarding Surf Fishing I can attribute to having fished with some true legends on the beaches of Cape Hatteras in the days of Bluefis

Today was one of the best 3 hour morning charters ever! Good sized pompano ( for NC!), big spot and some chunky blues. There were even more spot in the cooler and many other releases on blues and smaller pompano. The water looked like the Bahamas but was as calm as a lake. Coastal Life Outfitters Mid-Atlantic Surf Fishing Academy has had 2 incredible seasons providing surf fishing instruction and all inclusive surf fishing excursions. None the less, this will be our final season. Its time to retire, travel and enjoy life. Our final day will be Dec 19. I plan to keep this page going and periodically add content, advice and bragging photos/videos! I want to thank all of my previous customers. I hope you learned a trick or 2 that helps you fill the cooler. If you see me on the beach, stop and say hi.

We have a spicy forecast for todays surf fishing charter. 15 mph steady out of the NE gusting to over 20. The Sinker Guy SPUTNIKS are the call of the day! Some upper and over slot red drum have started testing the NC shore here around Wilmington. So, as Shakespeare wrote, Once again unto the beach my friends...Or something like that.....
