Our next Penelope shop update will be September 12th at 4 pm Eastern. This update will contain 100 Penelopes. This will be our last shop update until after we wrap up the festival season.

You can find information about this shop update, including a more in-depth “How to Prepare for the Shop Update” section to help clarify how things work on Shopify. This how-to section includes more information and screenshots.

As always, we recommend you check out the shop and get a feel for how things work with adding things to your cart ahead of time and see how the check out process works. We are excited to announce that Falcons are now available on a regular basis. Upon purchasing a Falcon we will print up and assemble the small trim parts in your specified color.

If you’ve maxed out the speed option on your wheel and find yourself waiting for twist to build into your singles while spinning at full speed this could be the e-spinner for you. It is the perfect wheel for spinning cotton due to its gentle tension and extremely fast speeds.

We understand the frustration this shop update may have caused. We had a total of 30 Penelopes in this batch. This batch took longer than expected, partly due to our relocation earlier this year and the high temperatures and humidity that impacted our ability to work on the wood finishing. We are actively working to improve our production process for the Penelope to ensure higher production rates in the future while still maintaining our standard of quality.

Part of our new process involves an update to our finishing process, as we were not completely satisfied with our previous finishing process. This latest batch was a trial run of our new finishing process that is in line with our standard of quality.

Again, we greatly apologize to those who were not able to purchase a Penelope. We are currently working on the next batch of Penelopes and plan to have a shop update as soon as possible that will contain significantly more Penelopes.

This project has been so much fun! This is one of Evanita W Montalvo’s favorite patterns to demo as the structure is so easy to understand with A being the background, B being the Sheep’s leg, and C being the Sheep’s head. The simplicity makes it easy for anyone to try tablet weaving a sheep or two whether or not they have had any prior experience in weaving.

For those wondering when the next batch of Penelopes will be, we hear you and we hope to have another batch available soon. The hot temps in Kentucky have made the finishing process slow going. We also hope to have heddle kits available again soon! Upon popular demand we will be returning to the wood heddles rather than the acrylic.
