We Made It!!!
Our 1st "Shawneeland Trail Crawl" is in the Record Books! This post will be full of Thank You's!
I Retired from Wi******er Metals(the Best Job I ever had) at the end of June 2025. Early in the Winter of last year, I put feelers out for anyone in the area of Shawneeland and Back Mountain Road to see if anyone would be interested in having a Yard and/or Craft Event. Quickly there were Numerous Positive Responses and I decided to run with it. I made it a Goal and a Mission to put together an Event for the Community. In January of 2026 I started a list of people that would commit to Participating in the event..which I called the "Shawneeland Trail Crawl". That list quickly grew and the end result was 64 Participating Residents with 20 being Multi Family Set Ups. A handful had to unfortunately cancel out during the last week. I hope the ones that had to cancel, that their situations or health issues have improved.
We have alot to be Thankful for when yesterday is mentioned but above all...I Praise God for providing the Absolute...Most Beautiful Day to hold our Event! ❤️
An Extremely Huge Thank You to my husband, Paul Boese. For 2 weekends we traveled the subdivision trails so that a map with easy to follow directions could be worked up for our Shoppers. You worked so hard in getting our Yard Sale presentation set up! Pulling & pricing items and placing them out for the Sale was a way Bigger Job than we Ever imagined. We aren't as Young as we used to be! Putting up with my moods during all this was a chore for you, that you took on like a Champ. You did it all with Love. I Love and Appreciate YOU so much! ❤️
I want to Sincerely Thank all of the People that have posted on FB and sent PM's of how much they appreciated my efforts with putting the Event together. This also includes the Numerous Individuals that stopped by my home yesterday, during the Event and sang words of Praise for a Job Well Done! These compliments mean more than you will ever know! My Heart is Full and Proud! ❤️

A Huge Thank You to "Meredith" on Tonto Trail. I sincerely apologize that I do not have your last name handy. This Lady made it a mission to get the event posted in the Valley Trader!...which happened for weeks! Awesome! ❤️

A Huge Thank You to the Parents that encouraged their Kiddos to set up Lemonade Stands. An Old Tradition that touched many hearts as people traveled & shopped the Trails. I had numerous people mention these set ups as they shopped at our home. They were so happy to see this taking place! Sweeeet!! ❤️
A Huge Thank You to Jessica Brunot Bouldin for jumping in the last week of the event. She put a Beautiful Design to the 8 page flyers and assisted me with printing 60 of them. I regret there were not more ....but all cost was out of personal pockets. I am so sorry your printer kicked the bucket during the process! ❤️
A Huge Thank You goes out to our next door neighbor, Joe Shirley for making the wooden posts and attaching them for the Route 50 sign. Also Thank You for helping Paul put the sign up. Always willing to help and much appreciated! ❤️
A Huge Thank You to Diane Puffinberger for joining us and selling your Beautiful Wooden Crafted Items! You were so Very Helpful when we were setting up and throughout the day... assisting with whatever needed to be done. When it came to the end...you didn't stop till it all got boxed up and put away. Thanks for providing the buns for our pulled chicken and chicken salad sandwiches....and the Sweet Tea.You are a True Friend and we are Blessed by your friendship! We love ya! ❤️
A Huge Thank You to Candace Smith and her husband Patrick. They arrived at 7:00 yesterday and went right to work to help us get all our stuff out of the garage and set up...not to mention all the help throughout the day. Both of you were so eager to assist wherever needed! We are so grateful for all the help afterwards to clean up! Just in time, before the rain! Sorry we did not get into your Chicken Dip...what you left here, was my dinner! You 2 were a true Blessing! We love you Both so much! ❤️

I will close but....
I have one Big Request and I will be requesting this frequently...for any Residents that want this event to continue or to have another Yard Sale in the Fall...I am asking for you to attend the next Shawneeland Committee Meeting on the 1st Monday in June at 7:00 p.m. it is held at the office. When I attended the meeting in May it was mentioned as a possibility that one will be held in the Fall. Show your interest and attend the meeting!
