Went for walk in Bolton Park and spotted what I call my fairy tree all@blossomed out such a great sign of spring.

I have reached a decision and feel like I am ripping off a bandaid on a wound partially healed.
I have had Ritual Waters since 1999 when I made my big move from Long Island to North Carolina. I moved to get out of the NY hustle and bustle for a new job in the South. I left family and friends there for something new. And I found a wonderful place with new friends and just grew myself.
2019 I retired from a job of 20 years and continued making soap for a while BUT all the fabric in my stash was calling me back to quilting plus several UFOs ( unfinished projects) and I answered as well as adding more to my stash.
So that is what I have been doing and you can view the results in my photos.
I have not been soap lately and intend only as my stash of soap runs out for personal use. I have shut down my website and will be deleting this page also but wanted to give my followers some words before I do. I will still have my instagram page for now and you can view me there.
This feels painful but needed to be done and you can still reach me here on FB on my personal page as Marilyn Schendel.

I just wanted to make this announcement that I am taking down my website for my shop. I will still be making soap here and there as the urge moves me.
I will let you know if I will soaps available here and on my IG page. If you want something special please message me and I will let you know if I can make it.
I returning to my first love for fabric and quilting and felt it was time to move on.
Thank you all for your support for my soap business!
I will continue to post my quilting adventures here and other things that interest me.
PLEASE do not forget to run the bath water and light a candle and take some for yourself to settle in and give yourself that space and breathe!

I had retired from my day job about five years ago and am now faced with continuing my next stage of life. I will no longer stocking my soap shelves as other projects are calling me now.

I have rediscovered quilting where I had stopped many years ago with unfinished projects haunting and tubs of fabric ( yes TUBS of fabric to be precise 6 of them!) languishing in a spare room. I have completed the UFO's ( unfinished projects) and even new ones using up some of that extra fabric on hand.

I still want to make soap sporadically that calls me to unique designs and scents. These will be noted on my Instagram page

You can contact me there if interested. I will also make small batches of my regular soaps for purchase and 4 week leadtime if anyone is interested in them.

But this is where my passion lies. Sewing and fabric expanded into soapmaking and now I am returning to that craft. As we all grow older ( I will be turning 75 in a couple of months hurray! So here is where that passion is leading me back to it.

More from my quilting adventures and prod to say all UFOs have been completed and working to finish new ones. Even gif a tee shirt quilt that was a new thing. Working on some secret ones to be revealed later in the year. I belong to a guild and am making some nap blankets which are very simple with no real quilting but fun.
