The eCommerce Manager is the air traffic controller of inventory. You will be responsible for identifying new products, ordering samples, testing them, purchasing them in appropriate quantities, and launching them on the GoGun website.
A successful eCommerce Manager will keep inventory in stock, mitigate supply chain disruptions, and optimize inventory capital allocation. You will play a key role as the person that pulls data from disparate sources (sales & inventory systems) and visualize it using charts, tables, and graphs. The eCommerce Manager will have very strong attention to detail with excellent intuition to spot-check data that seems off or does not pass a sanity check.
Mechanical aptitude is required. You must have some experience with troubleshooting bows, crossbows, airguns.
A college degree is not required. However, if you have one you believe will add value to this position, please mention it.
Job Responsibilities:
Prevent stock-outs by managing inventory levels
Communicate with suppliers to keep product lead-time estimates accurate
Demand Forecasting
Purchasing and tracking $700K+ worth of inventory across 10+ international shipments at any given time.
Documenting fulfillment standard operating procedures
Updating product descriptions
Customer service (15% of time - to cover gaps or escalated questions)
Qualifications:
Competency with:
Google Docs (especially google sheets)
Gmail
Shopify
Strong analytical skills to translate complex spreadsheets into something easy to understand and act upon.
Friendly and easy to communicate with verbally and in writing.
Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail on multiple ongoing projects
Must have no ethical objections to selling weapons
Must be willing to use personal computer and smartphone for work
Minimum 2 years experience in eCommerce
General Interest, knowledge and/or experience with hunting, archery, crossbows, slingshots, air guns.
Knowledge of International shipping, import/export process, intermodal freight, incoterms.
Nice-to-Haves:
Photography experience (For taking product photos or directing a contracted studio)
Photoshop experience (For editing product photos)
Experience with Shipstation
Accounting knowledge
Copywriting skills
Knowledge of basic SEO

Must be local to Orlando, FL to be able to check-in on the 3rd party fulfillment center if needed. Maybe one day every 2-3 weeks. Otherwise, this is a mostly remote position. Set up the home office of your dreams.
