So I'm trying to encourage 🐦 🐦 to come to my yard to eat the bad bugs. Not use chemicals etc. I am getting the most beautiful birds. Some are getting pretty used to me being out there with them. These ones were new to the feeders and I really had to work at getting a pic. I should just have a bitd bath instead of food but I had to get them to my yard some wayπŸ˜‰

Sorry I've been a little quiet on here. I'll admit it, I'm a little slow about posting on this page. My personal page, no problem in fact, my friends are probably tired of seeing posts about flowers and dirt. But I'm a bit overwhelmed by others in the industry it seems on social media everyone is doing so well with their farms. Don't get me wrong I am so happy for those of you who are so successful but its intimidating to me. I always feel like my pictures aren't worth posting on here. That they could be a bit more glamorous. Today I was thinking dang it I need to post something to keep my page active. Let people know that I'm here. So I'm going back to my original post. I'm keeping this page honest and plan to share my fails as much as my successes. Because I need reality. So here's what I've been up to since the last time I posted.
**I survived mothers day. I got orders out and delivered. All while trying to cover beds and get them prepared for my summer stuff while the sun was out for 2 whole days.
**Got about 500 dalhias planted not the 600 I thought I had ordered. My dad totally came over and help bust them out in one day!!
**Planted lots of babies whispered sweet words of encouragement to them.
**had my super awesome dog dig some of them up 😑
** went out my box and called florists asking to meet with them to share some of my flowers
** dropped off flowers to people that weren't expecting it (personally my fave)

I am still raising kids, so things take me a bit longer sometimes. Sometimes they take less time becuase of my kids most days they are all so helpful. Its a group effort around here. A group im happy to be in.

Another group I need to chat about is a group of flower farmers that have become friends. Friends that encourage each other answer questions.. trouble shoot with you, give advice, or just listen to your worries.

Sorry this ended up a bit longer than intended but I want you to look at that last picture. That last picture was from a year ago today. I had 3 or 4 beds and a couple hundred dalhias that over half died in 1 month. I could've quit but I didn't. And its such a good reminder of how far I've actually come on days that I wonder why I'm doing this.. then I see a picture like that and I get a text or call or see a smile and I know that im doing what I should be doing. Bringing joy with flowers to others. πŸ’•πŸ’• πŸ’

Okay okay, I got side tracked. It's easy for me to do. I went to go spend my birthday money on hanging baskets for my porch. Not only did I find awesome baskets for $20! I found my favorite nursery employee. Lisa is a gem and is so helpful!! Check them out! Amazing prices and amazing product. Just follow the signs! We were the only ones there so I let the girls out!

Thats about how I feel on the end of this tiller. πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ Hold on and go for it!! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ Haha🀣🀣 Weather stopped my tilling but was able to get a couple beds properly tilled and covered last week.😊😊 Whats a girl supposed to do in the rain? Don't worry I have another project I've been working on.. stay tuned for a sneak peek. Let's just say, I'm real thankful for my husband, who can read a tape measure properly 😜πŸ₯° Seedlings 🌱 will go in the ground 🌧 or 🌞 (looks more like 🌧) so I'll be cozy in my rain gear planting babies hoping for beautiful summer days and bouquets πŸ’ later today. What are you guys doing on this rainy day?

Whatever you have planned for tomorrow, I hope it brings love and happiness.

8hrs spent outside checking off so many things on my to do list, for this years flower season. Harvested some tulips and planted lots of seedlings. What did you guys do today? (Oh and that mud behind me on the wall.. I'm pretty sure it's on the inside walls too) So thankful for a most of a dry day.

Took cuttings of my dahlias today to help add to my stock. These are my heart in the garden. Such amazing plants.

Happy first day of spring!! With so much going on in the world around us. I have a request. Just sit for a min and think about what you're thankful for. I am so thankful for the health, and love of my family. But I am also thankful for this.. the fact that I have something that can carry on amongst this time. To plant seeds, care for them and eventually watch them bloom. It's the same with bulbs. We plant with hope's of a beautiful spring and they hardly ever let us down. Springs beauty might not be being noticed this year but I encourage you to not lose hope and look around, take in the beauty. Think about those fall planted bulbs and how hard winter can be for them. Call me pollyanna if you will, but maybe we will all come out of this stronger and more beautiful. More compassion for people that are struggling to buy things for their family, more compassion for the elderly and their health. Let us hope that we never forger to wash our hands. Along with all the other positive things that can come from this. I have seen people offering rides and offering to drop stuff off for people. This is so heart warming.

What have you seen that has been positive that has come out of all of this?
Also please feel free to post what you are thankful for I'd love to read them.

**these flowers are not mine, but from a trip I took last year to the tulip fields in Mount Vernon**
