On Day 2 of Fan Fest Northwest, what started as a simple raffle at our booth quickly snowballed as other vendors began donating items to support the cause.
Together, the raffle raised $255 for Rod's House.
Last Stand Collectibles then made a $500 personal donation by purchasing a one-of-a-kind, limited-edition authenticated banner signed by Megan Hollingshead, the voice of Nurse Joy and many more.
Grand total: $755 for Rod’s House!
Thank you to every vendor, attendee, and member of the FanFest community who helped turn a simple raffle into something much bigger.
This is what community is all about.
Rod’s House is a Yakima based nonprofit dedicated to helping youth and young adults ages 13–24 who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability, with the ultimate goal of ending youth homelessness in the Yakima Valley.
They provide meals, clothing, hygiene supplies, showers and laundry, case management, behavioral health support, life-skills training, and assistance with education, employment, and finding stable housing.
So the $755 raised and donated by Last Stand Collectibles at FanFest goes directly toward supporting local young people who may not have a safe or stable place to call home.
Even better, FanFest Northwest itself benefits Rod’s House and the work they do throughout our community.
So heres to next year’s event! Lets make year 3 even better! A special shout out to Amber, Makayla and Samantha for all the hard work they put into this weekends show!
