It was a moment of comfort, routine, and quiet intimacy shared between Countess Cordelia and those closest to her. Chamomile tea steeped beneath lace curtains while scones layered with clotted cream and lemon curd rested untouched between conversations that drifted from harmless gossip to deeply guarded secrets.
In Cordelia: A Tale of Blood & Lace, (our Victorian gothic graphic novel currently in development) one particular Tea Time would come to be the stage that brought about a soft confession & a hopeful future. A secret spoken aloud only once, was heard by the wrong ears.
