Mother’s Day means a lot of things to a lot of people.
Around here at Maine Fly Company, it’s also a reminder that behind every honest small business… there’s usually a mom somewhere in the story.
This company was built around fly fishing, Maine waters, and craftsmanship. But the values behind it came long before the first fly rod was ever wrapped.
They came from my mom.
My mother owned and operated a small business in Maine for over 25 years. She taught me that your word matters. That kindness matters. That people remember how you make them feel long after the transaction is over.
A lot of those lessons quietly became part of the foundation of Maine Fly Company.
Today we’re thinking about all the moms who introduced kids to rivers, taught patience on riverbanks, supported wild dreams, untangled fly lines, packed the snacks, and somehow held everything together along the way.
