Sometimes you don’t realize how much you’ve grown because you’re so busy creating, learning, tweaking, and trying again. Then you look back at something you made a year ago and think, wow… I really have come a long way.

That’s why consistency matters. Every project teaches you something. Every revision sharpens your eye. Every time you keep going, you’re building skill, confidence, and experience.

Don’t be embarrassed by your old work. Let it remind you that you kept showing up.

Create. Learn. Adjust. Repeat. The growth is in the reps. 💛

AI went down… and I just know some folks had a full-blown meltdown. 😂

And that’s exactly why real people, real skill sets, and real creativity still matter.

AI may have been unavailable, but graphic designers were still designing. Website designers were still building. Professional administrators were still getting things DONE. Presentations were completed. Social media posts still went up. Marketing still moved forward. Business still happened.

I say it all the time: I love AI. I use it. I think it’s an amazing tool. But that’s exactly what it is—a tool.

It can support the work, speed things up, help generate ideas, and make certain tasks easier. But it cannot replace human inspiration, experience, creativity, judgment, skill, or the drive to figure it out when the technology decides to take the day off. 😂

AI can assist the creative. It cannot replace the creative.

And September 3rd was a pretty good reminder of that. 💻✨

I’ve been seeing a LOT of AI-generated flyers lately, and my issue isn’t with using AI. I use AI too. My issue is when the creativity, intention, and actual DESIGN get lost in the process.

🚫PLEASE stop with the AI flyers. And yes, I use AI—it is a phenomenal tool that has changed the game. But I never allow it to outshine or replace my creative gift.

The first flyer was created strictly with AI. The second was designed using Adobe Photoshop and Canva. The third was created mostly in Photoshop, with a few enhancements from Canva and ChatGPT.

The difference is intention. Use AI as a tool, not the entire solution. Trust your designer, respect the creative process, and do not let convenience keep your vision from reaching its full potential.

📣 Meet the Newest Member of the Creative Suga Design Studio Team!

I’m excited to officially introduce Ariana Butler, our new Junior Creative & Marketing Assistant! 🎉💙

Many of you know Ariana as my daughter, but here at Creative Suga Design Studio, she’s joining the team as an intern with real responsibilities, real expectations, and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience. This role is about learning, accountability, and preparing for the future.

As our Junior Creative & Marketing Assistant, Ariana will assist with:
✨ Daily business operations
✨ Social media planning, content creation, and scheduling
✨ Organizing digital files and marketing assets
✨ Researching trends and creative inspiration
✨ Client project support and administrative tasks

Ariana is a soon-to-be high school sophomore, dedicated athlete, and one of the hardest-working young people I know. We’re excited to invest in her growth as she develops new skills, gains professional experience, and contributes to the success of Creative Suga Design Studio.

One of the reasons I started this business was to create opportunities that inspire future generations. Watching Ariana begin her journey is a full-circle moment, and I couldn’t be prouder.
