We want any girl from any walk of life to look at BGirlz and see themselves. Reminding them of how special each and every one of them are. BGirlzWorld sprouted from an idea to create bonnets, but not just any bonnet. Bonnets that would address the woes of women and girls across the globe. We specifically wanted to create a bonnet that would be easy for the littlest of bonnet wearing girls to use. Thus, the brilliant idea of Bonnet Girlz was born. However, as our process grew and ideas flourished, we quickly realized that bonnets were just the beginning. There was so much more that Bonnet Girlz could be. The skies were not the limit, and we decided that Bonnet Girlz could encourage and inspire one to reach beyond. After all, girls can be anything they want to be, so why not let girls ‘Be Girls’? Now, not only does the “B” mean bonnets, but it means anything a girl can aspire to be. Anything she wants to feel, express, think, or create she can do, and she can B. B Girlz are fun, creative, intelligent and unique. We want any girl from any walk of life to look at B Girlz and see themselves. We put the same thought process into every product we carry. Our goal is to make sure the best quality and services are provided to well deserving girls everywhere. A brilliant 9-year-old fourth-grader, Montoia Murray, has earned first place in a local MLK Oratory Contest, impressing judges with a powerful speech inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream.

The competition was highly competitive, with 165 students from 20 Houston Independent School District schools entering the contest. Over several rounds held in October and November, the field was narrowed down to just 12 finalists. Students were evaluated on delivery, stage presence, decorum, content interpretation, and memorization.

Montoia ultimately stood out for her confident presentation and meaningful interpretation of Dr. King’s message, earning the top prize along with a $1,000 cash award.

Her achievement highlights not only her talent at a young age but also the impact of youth voices in continuing conversations about equality, justice, and hope.

Registration begins July 6th and runs to July 17th. We have 30 open slots this year and slots will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis. Camp dates are Saturday and Sunday, August 13-14th.

THE DETAILS:
This two-day camp is open to FIRST-TIME campers ages 8-12 who have never participated before. Fishing and boating lessons, equipment and lunch will be provided!

OUR MISSION:
Our mission for this camp is to introduce fishing and boating to as many new campers as we can.

THE DATES:
Registration begins July 6th and runs to July 17th. We have 30 open slots this year and slots will be filled on a first come first-served basis. Camp dates are Saturday and Sunday August 13-14th.

LEGACY CAMPERS:
We are working to establish future programing for our campers that have participated before so keep a look out for future mailings! If we do not fill our available slots, returning campers will be invited to apply on a first-come, first-served basis.
