We’re a small team of local women who swapped city noise for open roads and mountain air – and found something worth sharing. Over the years, we’ve spent long days (and plenty of rainy ones) getting to know these winding roads, waterfalls, and the families who wave you in for tea when you least expect it. We do this because we love it -and because we know travel can do good when it stays small, local, and honest. We’d love for you to ride it your way, and go home with stories you’ll be telling for years.

As part of the Loop Cao Bang itinerary, Phia Thắp and Dìa Trên are 2 among several traditional craft villages of Nung An people, where life moves slowly between stone fences, wooden stilt houses, and fields of corn and rice. Phia Thắp is known for traditional incense making - if you wander through, you’ll often see yellow or red incense sticks drying under the sun. Dìa Trên, just a short drive away, is quieter but equally charming with its old stone houses and peaceful atmosphere, focusing on traditional paper making craft

Most travelers planning a Northern Vietnam adventure think first of Ha Giang. And fair enough: it has amazing epic passes and rugged landscapes that 10% deserve the fame. But if you’ve only got Ha Giang on your list, you’re skipping a quieter treasure just next door: the Cao Bang Loop.

This region feels differently, like Vietnam in decades ago: quiet valleys, serene rivers, and mountain views without the steady hum of motorbikes behind you. It’s a place where the road feels like it belongs to you, where instead of bumping into a lot of travelers, you’re more likely to pass a farmer leading water buffalo or kids waving from stilt houses.

If you love mountains but also like journeys with space to breathe, if you want both history and hidden gems, and maybe even get a little lost along the way, then yes, you shouldn’t miss Cao Bang.

The Cao Bang Loop isn’t trying to compete with Ha Giang, it’s its own thing entirely. Softer, but no less stunning. Quieter, but with a depth that sneaks up on you. So bring your curiosity, jump on a bike, and let Cao Bang surprise you. Chances are, it’ll become one of your favorite chapters of Vietnam.

Hi there! Welcome to Loop Cao Bang - your new adventure buddy!
Why Cao Bang? Because it’s still raw, still real, still full of corners that we’re sure even Google Maps scratches its head at. Its waterfalls, karst mountains, border villages... they all deserve more love (and trust us, they’ve got plenty to give back).

We’re not here to “launch a product” or do some big fancy campaign. We just want to share a place we love, introduce you to the amazing local people here and maybe convince you that the loop up here is the ride your soul didn’t know it needed!
