•“Scribes” (or writes) all patient medical record documentation as noted by the ER care provider
•Assists the ER physician/provider in patient flow through the ER
•Accompanies the ER physician to all CODE BLUES in-house and has up-close
observation of procedures, protocols, responsibilities and challenges of the ER
health care team
•Has an opportunity to learn diagnostic algorithms directly from the ER provider
•May satisfy requirement for necessary patient care hours needed for entry into
professional healthcare programs
•Can help you improve your critical medical terminology knowledge required for all
healthcare industry professionals
•Can obtain essential physician letters of reference from top-notch UCLA/ Harbor
faculty required for professional healthcare program entrance with satisfactory
job performance
