Hello to all Super Sentai fans,
Iโm also a long-time, low-profile fan โ a 90s kid just like many of you here.
I grew up watching Super Sentai on VHS tapes, then later on DVDs. Those memories have stayed with me over the years and became a deep part of who I am.
Today, having finally reached a point where I can create the things I once only dreamed about, Iโm genuinely happy to share with you a personal fan project of mine called Mythical Beasts.
๐ฑ What is Mythical Beasts?
In simple terms, this is a series of mythical and legendary creatures, designed to function as weapons or equipment for Super Robots.
The first model in the series is:

โ๏ธ Iceborne Pegasus
Iceborne Pegasus is a celestial horse with an ice attribute, which you can already tell from its name.
Beyond its mythological appearance, its main role leans towards defence rather than offence:
Its wings can fold inward, transforming into a protective shield.
โ๏ธ Technical Information
Material: PU Resin (hand-cast using silicone moulds)
Mechanism: Modified rotating joint system (ratchet joints)
Still retains the basic โclickโ feeling
Not as strong as official products due to the difference in material
Finish: Hand-painted using lacquer and acrylic paints
โน๏ธ About PU Resin (for those unfamiliar)
PU Resin is a material widely used in handcrafted production, especially with silicone mould casting.
Its biggest strengths are ease of processing and high detail reproduction, making it ideal for small-batch, collectible items.
That said, PU Resin does not have the same flexibility as ABS plastic used in official products. Over long-term use, natural ageing may occur. However, it is more durable and stable than 3D-printed resin, which tends to be brittle and prone to damage.
โ Why not ABS plastic?
The reason is very straightforward and practical:
ABS production requires steel moulds, which cost several thousand dollars per mould
It also requires industrial injection-moulding machines, with costs reaching around 2 billion VND
For an independent handmade creator like myself, this is currently not a viable option.
PU Resin therefore remains the most balanced choice between:

Iceborne Pegasus is entirely developed in-house, from:

2D & 3D design
Production
Hand painting
For that reason, it can confidently be described as a Made in Vietnam product.
