BOTRYOIDAL AZURITE

Azurite is a secondary copper mineral that is frequently found in oxidized zones in deposits of copper ore.

Azurite is named after the Persian word “lazhward” for its characteristic blue color.

It is said that there are over 45 well known forms of azurite.

Early Egyptians believed that azurite had the power to communicate with spirits.

Hugest perfect dumortierite/quartz polished cabochon I have ever seen. I was not able to buy it 7 years ago, when prices were low…so today…

As this piece is over 60mm, it is harder to see flower like radial crystals. Unfortunately my photo is not able to show that incredible natural beauty
