A little Sunshine 🌞 for your Saturday! Hands down, this is my favorite piece I've made so far. It just makes me smile so much when I look at and I am really excited to share it with you!!

I was able to learn a new way to shape each piece and paint with blending paint colors. This was was also my first piece that I drew free hand (well not the straight lines). I can't wait to make more pieces like this!!

I had the honor to scroll this logo for my uncle as a gift as he officially retired yesterday. He is kind and generous, friends with anyone and everyone. Seriously, no matter where we went we would run into people he knew and if he didn't know you, it wasn't long til he did know you! Congratulations, Uncle Tom!! Have fun chasing those grandkids!

The other night I was watching Hometown Takeover. Ben and Erin were renovating one of the oldest homes in Wetumpka to help the family that lives there have more time as a family. At the reveal, the family was in their new living room and .co said "you only get 18 summers"... And those words took my breath away...

My Katiebug will be heading to Florida in a few short days to start working full time for Walt Disney World and continuing with her education. This child has wanted to do this for as long as I can remember! Always saying things like, "when I live in Florida...", never IF I move to Florida.

I made this sign as a graduation gift for her, short of a year after her graduation but my intentions were there!! It's my reminder to her, that no matter what you are going through, be courageous and the keep your dreams in front of you.

You got this, Bug! Love you so much!!

This little birdy flew home today! I learned soooo much from this project! I loved learning how to burn wood and attempted to make a stain out of paint. Lots of mistakes along the way but I am really proud of it!!

Happy Sunday!! It has been beautiful here in Central IL and I have been busy working on a new project! Super excited about the final outcome but here are some progress shots! I am trying a new (to me) technique on the backer and it is going to be 🔥!

I am super happy with the end result of this house number sign and was thrilled to have the chance to create another one! 😍

I used milled cedar planks for the numbers and cedar for the backer and box. I couldn't find the stain that I liked ended up mixing Provincial and Golden Pecan. Sprayed with Spar urethane and held together with III.
