Crowsfeet Craftworks Crowsfeet Craftworks is an independent shop focusing on wooden home goods, decor, and furniture. Our story begins with a pandemic, or rather, this chapter does.

Richie and Brittany are two theatre artists and life partners that found themselves out of work and out of inspiration during the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic. They needed a creative outlet, and they found it working with their hands and tangible material. Brittany found crochet and Richie, woodworking. Just as we collaborate in our theatre practice, we collaborate in our making process. We help each other when designing and building our products, whether it's lending a hand to clamp a magnet to a jewelry cabinet or adjusting the pixels on a crochet lion design. We are truly DIY, operating out of our dining room in Rogers Park, Chicago, but that doesn't mean our quality is lacking. Each item is made with extreme attention to detail, care, and a lot of love. All handmade, and all with their own story. To us, Crowsfeet Craftworks speaks to nature and laughter, which is what we want our customers to think of, too, when they open our package. Every product comes with a generous return policy, and it's our goal to respond quickly and thoroughly to every inquiry. We also love working with people to make their ideal creation come to life - if you don't see what you're interested in, send us an email or a message on IG about a custom piece. Thank you for visiting our page, and we hope you love our products as much as we love making them.

Hey folks!
As you may or may not know, I manage a Woodshop in Rogers Park near Devon and Clark, and I’m now renting it out for short term situations! If you’re interested, keep reading. If not, please help me spread the word!

- It’s a roughly 1,000 sq ft space shared with 2 other renters, and it’s in a multi-purpose building (meaning others may be in or around the space).
- It’s decently equipped - you would have access to the main tools (chopsaw, tablesaw, drill press) and some of my personal hand tools.
- You would need to provide any specific hand tools you need and your own disposable materials (wood, glue, hardware, sandpaper).
- You would occupy my booth, and I can accommodate some project space, as well.

If you’d like to know more about the shop, rates, or booking, please fill out my super professional inquiry form.

This week, I’m building two 15’ tall LED speaker stacks, with plexi and LED coloring instead of actual speakers.
Built a super cool router jig to make sure I have matching, perfect circles for the 8 circles I have to cut out.

It’s been a hot minute! Burning pun intended. In anticipation of the live-action ATLA show, I finally wood burned this piece of Aang and Appa. It was a good study in using texture as shading to delineate different reasons for the same level of grayscale. It was also a challenge to learn new pen tips for different levels of detail!

Always love revisiting an old piece. Often times, I send my work out and I never get to see how it holds up. I only remember the process and the flaws… but to see it after a few years and think “oh that’s nice.. wait I made that!” Is a lovely feeling.
