Hey all.

Just a reminder that Stony Stratford Emporium is closing from 2pm Saturday and reopening on Friday 25th from 10am.

Nothing’s up… we’re just taking a small break from retail to recharge our batteries for a few days before we start preparing for autumn and then… Christmas!

Expect wreaths, pumpkins, baubles, dog advent calendars, probably a few gonks, elves and of course, Christmas outfits.

There’ll be the usual self care products, hand made jewellery, smellies such as candles and incense, quirky vintage stuff and anything else that catches my eye. Like this electroplated vase that a lady snapped up at the weekend. Penelope, the pink poodle is looking for a new home though!

A little something for our four-legged customers…

We’ve now got JR Pet Products 100% meat dog treats in store at Stony Stratford Emporium.

We get so many lovely dogs coming in with their humans that it seemed only fair they should have something to browse too!

And because dogs are always very welcome here, we’ll also have a few treats available to try while they’re visiting.

So if you’re out for a walk in Stony Stratford, pop in, have a mooch, and bring the dog with you.

They may end up enjoying the Emporium even more than you do!

Hey all.

So on Monday, I went to my first trade show up at the NEC Birmingham, and found several suppliers who were very much on my level with their selection of what I call 'spicy' offerings - the sort of stuff that should maybe be on the top shelf. By that I mean, things like socks and cards with unconventional messages - and maybe not ideal as gifts for your nan.

I have placed orders for some of these items so now, not only will you find quirky vintage stuff, self care products, journals, Roman and Medieval artefacts, jewellery for men and women, 3D toys for the kids... you will also have the opportunity to buy something with a special message for your friend or loved one. Something like this...

Honestly, it's gets MUCH worse than this...

Calling all dog owners!

We are delighted to confirm that we'll soon be stocking some yummy 100% meat dog treats. I'm particularly delighted as I absolutely love dogs and some our regulars bring their dogs into the shop, which is fab.

In between customers, when we're sitting outside in the sun, I take every opportunity to make a fuss of dogs walking past, especially Lilly, who loves a bum scratch (who doesn't?).

So if you're about and about in Stony Stratford, do pop in and say hello. All well behaved pet owners are welcome with their dogs🐾

I don’t know about you, but I’m glad the hot weather has broken.

As a woman of a certain age, even the most minimal of effort left me sweating like I’d been left unsupervised in a Greggs shop.

So I mainly stayed still, on my computer with a fan trained on my face, looking for stock, buying stock, adding stock to my inventory and having a bit of a chuckle to myself because I have chosen some slightly spicy bits for the shop.

I’m also going to some trade shows soon - my first ever, and I’m really looking forward to it. I can’t wait to share my finds with you, hopefully there’ll be something you’ll love.
