These two got sent off into the world for the next leg of their journey recently. πŸ’Œ

They were two of the pendants I'd had the longest, just waiting to find their people. I was getting to the point where I was thinking, maybe it's time to cut these loose and rethink the wraps entirely...

Instead, they were both claimed within hours of each other.

It was a good reminder that sometimes a piece just needs to find the right person, and the right amount of patience.

With those now gone, I'm down to my final dozen one-of-a-kind pendants from this collection over on my Δ— t s y. They're all marked down, some by as much as half, to make room for what's next.

There's a century-old oak tree in our new backyard. Its branches cast beautiful, shifting patterns of light across the yard, which actually make it a bit difficult to find a clear patch of sunlight for photographs. Today, though, this Hypersthene pendant found its moment beneath the canopy.

Both oak trees and Hypersthene are associated with strength, endurance, and protection. The stone's name comes from the Greek words hyper ("above") and sthenos ("strength"). They both also have lore connecting them to thunder & lightning. 🌩️

I like creating with spirals because they often make me think of paths and journeys, and I'm grateful mine has opened doors to experiences like last night. ⚑

I think the best jewelry carries stories with it. Every stone in this little bowl holds history, folklore, and symbolism carried across different parts of the world and over so many generations - with some of my favorite stories tracing back to places like Ancient Greece, Persia, and the Pacific Northwest.

I never really get tired of working with the same stones because when you're holding something with so much history attached to it, there's always more to learn and appreciate.

Sometimes I wonder if that's part of what keeps other people returning to certain stones over and over again, like me.
