Two years ago, Sake Kitty Cards was one table.

This weekend, our team will be representing Sake Kitty at four different shows across two states.

That's honestly the part I'm most proud of.

Not because it's four shows. Not because it's growth for the sake of growth. But because I get to work alongside people I trust who genuinely care about this hobby and the people in it.

Collect-A-Con Las Vegas is in the books.

What a weekend.

We bought some incredible collections, picked up some cards I've been chasing for a while, made a lot of deals, and got to spend the weekend surrounded by people who are just as obsessed with this hobby as we are.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth, sold us cards, worked a deal, shared a collection, or simply came over to say hello. It was great meeting so many of you throughout the weekend.

A big thank you as well to all of the vendors, creators, and collectors who made the trip out. Vegas always delivers, and this year was no exception.

Now it's time to head home, sort through everything we picked up, and get back to work.

One of my favorite parts of card shows is catching up with great people in the hobby.

My friend Danny stopped by the booth at Orlando Collect-A-Con and we ended up making a fun deal. We picked up a stack of singles and traded a Pokémon 151 Charizard PSA 10 into the deal. Always a pleasure doing business with Danny — genuinely one of the nicest guys you'll meet in the community.

Moments like this are why I love what I do. The cards are awesome, but the people are what make this hobby special. Huge thank you to everyone who stops by the booth, says hello, shares stories, and helps make these events so much fun.

One of the biggest mistakes I see Pokémon collectors make is pricing cards straight off PriceCharting.

PriceCharting has its place, but it averages sales across different conditions and often lags behind the actual market. If you're buying, selling, or trading, that difference can cost you real money.

What I use instead:

Raw cards → TCGplayer recent sales

Graded cards → eBay sold listings filtered by the exact grade

Those sources show what cards are actually selling for right now, not an average of old sales.

If you're serious about the hobby, understanding the difference between these pricing tools will save you money and help you make better deals.
