I am still here! I just wanted to check in! I know it's been unusually quiet here since the new year rolled in but sometimes that's just the way it goes.

Recently, I had to reevaluate a number of things that resulted in my presence being elsewhere rather than on social media. Things that I considered important, no longer seemed like priorities. I had to reprioritize. Was it easy? Yes. Yes, it was. It is never a crime to put yourself first. And when you do, take all the time you need. I promise you'll be better off in the long run. In the meantime if there is any news, I promise I will break it to you.

Many small business owners are on the hunt looking for events to hopefully gain exposure and sales for this calendar year. This is a wonderful concept, planning is important.

You search high and low, send in your application, you've been accepted, paid your fee and all of a sudden things change. Why you ask? Because you've been scammed. There are individuals posing as hosts and event planners, waiting to steal from you. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH! Ask questions, lots of questions. Make sure that you have done your best to gather information. Review the posts and flyers for errors, contact the venue, check out the account activity of the host, reach out to your fellow small business entrepreneurs.

It's only January and the amount of scam alerts I've seen already is alarming and disheartening. Be vigilant friends. Please do your research.

What do you do when your creativity starts to fade and crafting feels draining? Sometimes you need a reset. Sometimes just sitting at my creation station, all the good vibes come rushing back. Getting my tools back in my hands, feeling the weight of the paper, looking through my collection of stamps, stencils and embossing folders, gently reminds me of all the beautiful things I've made. One of a kind, custom or personalized items. Handmade, handcrafted with love. I then start to replay all the reactions and responses in my head. Some with tears, some uncontrollable laughter, some in shock, all priceless! It's in these moments that the reset begins. It's necessary, don't fight it, let go, then let it flow ♥️🙏🏽

This handmade shaker card was made and purchased in 2024, it was then taken to Columbia for a loved one. My heart melted when I was told it was out for Christmas decor last month. Not only was it loved so much, but I believe because of the quality of materials used, the card has remained in great shape.

Higher quality materials costs more, but the end results are worth it.
