Managed to get a helping hand from a good friend of mine on securing the Control Panel (was held on with the supplied magnets)

More work on the speakers, learning the ways of wire crimping also.

More work to be done, just finding a window of opportunity and closer to completion.

Hello everyone!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Xmas and strong start to the New Year?

A quick menchie that I’m off work for two weeks and I plan to use this time to finally finish off the Arcade Cabinet.

I won’t be able to record footage anymore but I can take photos to demonstrate what’s happened.

Apologies for lack of content but my current job had peak season from around mid October till now.

Just want the Arcade finished so I can see the end result but more importantly give it a through test run! 🕹️👌😃

Amplifier & Controller Mount tonight 🔊🎮

Amplifier requires a power cable and spade connectors.

Controller mounts have been done, just need the adhesive to full set afore I can confidently mount the controllers.

At first, I thought I didn’t have long enough screws and tried to gain a lil more depth by countersink drilling but it barely made a difference.

Was about to give up for the night and order some longer screws when I’d found the very ones I’d used to mount the plexiglass onto the control panel, RESULT! 😃👌

Apologies for the late post all my followers and creepy peeps.

All I could muster today is to finally mark, drill and mount the speaker grilles.

It’s very much a mark, check and then drill process 😴

Next year I’ll be starting my own business with an Esports Arena so this Arcade will actually be used for the waiting area for my customers.

Apologies for the severe lack of content over the past few weeks.

Mum has been diagnosed with dementia since the last year or so and I’ve been devoting my time and even more so to her as the condition begins to tighten its grip.

It’s been tiring and I’m at a stage with the build where a stray cut or screw hole ruins the aesthetics which I strive to keep it looking mint if I can.

I’ve been doing snagging for the hour I’ve had or less in the evening.

The panel id countersunk screw holes weren’t wide enough whilst the vinyl was still present so I’ve torn the sheet off and increased the drill head size by 2mm for that flush screw hole finish.

I’m in midst of drilling the holes to mount the speaker grills and the speakers hidden behind the marquee display.
With tools being down at mums the last week after renovation of her bedroom meant I’ve put it on hold for now.

The drill piece recommended by Bosch to tackle the plexiglass has arrived today so I just need a window of time/energy to do the task. Then it can be re-wrapped by JM Kitchen Wraps (Promise I won’t tear off this effort!)

In meantime, thank you to everyone who continue to follow the channel and the experiments that go on with everything Joystix 🕹️
