What a weekend!

A huge thank you to the Albany Bodyboard Community for the warm welcome and great vibes throughout the event.

The sunny weather, offshore winds, and fun-sized swell all came together perfectly, and seeing so many families down on the beach made it even more special.

A big milestone for us was delivering a high-quality livestream across the entire competition, so those who couldn’t make it to Albany could still be part of it.

We’re stoked to announce that the first-ever bodyboard competition at the Albany Artificial Reef will be Event #3 of the 2026 SWBC Tour.

This is a great chance to bring together the WA south coast bodyboard community—and with a bit of luck, we’ll score the first solid winter swells to really light up the reef.

The event will run across two days, regardless of conditions, to ensure a smooth, well-organised competition.

Registrations are now open (link in bio) and close June 1st at 5pm. Late entries will incur an additional fee.

Mandurah Wedge provided big ramps, occasional barrels and overall conditions that any bodyboarder would ask to have in a competition! What a pleasure to organize a club competition in a wave like this!

We’ve had a last-minute change of plans — but a great one! Unfortunately, the Gallows Pro couldn’t go ahead due to logistics outside the club’s control.
