Diyas' journey began in 2017 with an aim to revive, revisit and reintroduce the traditional crafts forms of India and its culture for ethnic and contemporary of today’s need and to protect and nurture them. We support traditional artisan groups, craftsmen, underprivileged women’s groups, social enterprises across the country and help sustain their livelihood. Most of our products GI certified and are made up of nontoxic, organic, natural Eco-friendly materials with child-safe colors.

This Raksha Bandhan, Diyas Decoratives™ is proud to support two inspiring NGOs working to create sustainable livelihoods through handcrafted rakhis.

🌿 Sampoorna Bamboo Kendra, Melghat, Maharashtra
Founded by Sunil Deshpande & Nirupma Tai, SBK creates local employment using the region’s abundant bamboo, helping communities reduce migration. The Kendra also provides livelihood opportunities to nearly 50 physically challenged artisans.

🎋 Chandrapur Bamboo Artisans Group
Led by Minakshi Walke, the “Bamboo Lady of India,” this initiative trains communities, including people from challenging backgrounds, in bamboo craft and rakhi-making to create sustainable livelihoods.

Every rakhi you choose supports a story of dignity, skill and self-reliance.

Ten years ago, Diyas Decoratives began as a quiet dream, the one that believed in the beauty of handmade in the warmth of tradition and in the hands that create with love.

It wasn’t just about products. It was about people. About the artisans in small villages, the inherited skills passed through generation and the slow, mindful process of creating something meaningful. It was about bringing those stories into modern homes but not as objects, but as memories you could hold.

Over the years, what started as a small step has grown into a journey shaped by countless hands, shared hopes and your unwavering support. Every piece you chose, every story you appreciated it became a part of this journey.
