"Good PU" is not a spec. Here's what actually separates a cup that lasts from one that fails in months.
Three numbers decide PU foam cup quality:
🟦 Density (kg/m³): 25–30 is the sweet spot — holds shape, still soft. Below 20 collapses; above 35 turns boardy.
🟦 ILD (hardness): 28–35 supports without crushing. Ask for the test, not the claim.
🟦 Anti-yellowing grade: 4-grade resists light-induced yellowing. Lower grades yellow within a season.
And when the cups arrive, accept them properly:
✓ Weigh and measure density against the spec, not the catalog.
✓ Pull ILD samples from the production run, not the showcase batch.
✓ Light-test a cut sample before you commit to a full order.

Why do 50,000 of the same bra cup come out different? Nine times out of ten, it's not the foam — it's the molding parameters drifting between shifts.
At Senfeng we run a tight heat-press window: 160–200°C, 15–30 tons, 8–15 seconds dwell, with every shot logged per shift. That log is what keeps our qualified rate above 95%.
The four defects buyers actually see, and the fix:
🔧 Edge wrinkling → temp too low / dwell too short. Back into the window.
🔧 Surface gloss / over-compression → pressure too high. Drop to 15–30t.
🔧 Hardness drift between runs → shift-to-shift parameter drift, not bad foam. Fix the log, not the material.
🔧 Yellowing under light → not molding at all; it's foam grade. Specify 4-grade anti-yellowing PU.
A machine is only as consistent as the numbers written down next to it.
