Dr. Lisa Olszewski, Founder, American Institute of Healthy Living We're here to make healthy living simple! Live your best, most vibrant, ridiculously healthy life, now! At AIHL, we’re all about baby steps. Why?

Dr. Lisa is here to give you the simple steps to achieving great health! Because we realize one simple step at a time will lead to life-long change. Everyone, at some point in their life, attempted a massive overhaul of their health. When everything changes at once, typically people get overwhelmed and eventually - usually sooner than later- give up and quit, feeling as if you’re destined to remain sick and unwell. We see this pattern play out again and again on a daily basis in our communities. That doesn’t have to be the case. It starts with one simple step at a time. We believe everyone is born with the inherent ability to heal. Your body is intelligent, has phenomenal capabilities, and is programmed to be healthy. We just need to stop interfering with our health. The state of your health today is a perfect representation of all the decisions you’ve made in your life. Your body responds perfectly to the situations you give it. Nourish your body with good, it’ll respond favorably. Treat your body unwell, and you guessed it, it will respond accordingly. Sometimes we’re our biggest contributor to ill health, without even realizing it. Here at the American Institute of Healthy Living, we know that most people want to be healthy. They’re just not sure where to go or how to do it. We’re living in a time with access to so much information, yet with conflicting resources and perspectives, all of that information becomes difficult to navigate and people end up overwhelmed. We’re here to cut through it all and teach you the simple steps to a healthy lifestyle. Think of it—if you start by making one change, just a baby step today and continue it for the rest of the month, will you be healthier or sicker at the end of the month? We believe you already know the answer. It’s these simple steps, taken one at a time, that result in true lifestyle change. By incorporating simple healthy habits – one step at a time – we begin to express health more and more, until our bodies are fully expressing health at the greatest degree. AIHL is about YOU creating the healthy lifestyle YOU want. Dabble a little or jump all in. Make yourself a better version of you, so you too can inspire your friends, your family and your community. Let’s change the health of our nation.

If you’re a 3 AM waker, this is your episode. •• Episode 165 is the wired-but-tired conversation your doctor won’t have with you. Link in bio. "00

Here’s the thing I keep seeing in my practice.
Women come in exhausted, foggy, gaining weight, with heavy periods and no libido. They’ve been to 3-5 doctors. All of them say the same thing: “everything looks normal.” Here’s what they’re all missing: the DUTCH test maps 35 hormones AND their metabolites across 24 hours. Standard bloodwork catches one moment in time. If you’ve been told you’re fine but you know you’re not — the data is probably hiding where no one’s looking.

Episode 171 is coming in a few weeks and I’ll walk through this in full. In the meantime, the free 7 Red Flags checklist is at drlisao.com/redflags. healthylivingsimple hormonetesting dutchtest

Flashback Friday is here.
In Episode 160 on Tuesday, I promised I’d bring back some of my favorite old episodes from the archive so new listeners can catch up on where all this hormone-first thinking started.
Today’s re-release: Episode 138 — It’s Easier to Stay Well Than Get Well.
This is the philosophy that runs underneath everything I do.
Prevention isn’t sexy. It doesn’t sell like miracle protocols. But it works, it’s cheaper, and it’s the difference between spending your 60s and 70s vital and engaged or spending them managing conditions.
If you’re new to me - this is the fastest way to know how I actually think.
If you’ve been with me for years - hear it with fresh ears now that you know where the whole practice is going.
🎧Link in bio — Apple Podcasts, Spotify, wherever you listen.
Every Friday for the next seven weeks I’ll be dropping another favorite from the archive.

If you're a woman in your 40s, 50s, or 60s who's been told the love-and-life part is winding down - please read this all the way through. 💙

Five years ago I was mid 40 something years old, building a beautiful life, and quietly making peace with the fact that the "partner chapter" wasn't going to happen for me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had a thriving practice. Patients I loved. A podcast. A supplement line I was proud of. Travel. Friends. A full life.

Solo. And I told myself I was fine with that.

You know that flavor of fine? The kind women in their 40s know - that fine that has a little bit of resignation baked into it?

Yeah. That kind.🙄

And then - when I wasn't looking, when I'd genuinely stopped expecting it - I met him.

My person. The actual one. The one I quietly thought wasn't coming.

Then, I married him. 👰🏻

I'm telling you this for two reasons:

🌟 One: midlife is not the wind-down. That is a lie our culture sells women, and it is the most expensive, life-stealing lie out there. I am living proof you can't trust it.

🧬 Two: I would not have been ready to receive him if my hormones had been wrecked. I would not have had the energy, the libido, the clarity, the joy to show up as myself. I had done the work on me - and that work is the only reason I could say yes when he showed up.

So if you're a woman in your 40s or 50s or 60s reading this thinking your good chapters are behind you
- I'm here to tell you they are absolutely not.

But you can't show up for the next chapter if you're depleted, exhausted, and miserable in your own body.

That's the work I'm coming back to do.

The free 7 Hormone Red Flags checklist is in my bio.

When a Pharmacist Chooses Natural Healing

Pat C. is a pharmacist who knows medications inside and out. But when it came to her own chronic back pain, she chose a different path.
"Dr. Lisa has helped me with chronic back pain and natural healing methods. I appreciate the alternate solutions offered at her practice. I'm a pharmacist and personally don't want to take any more medications than absolutely necessary. 'A pill to fix every ill' is not my mantra!" - Pat C.

Sometimes the most powerful endorsements come from those who understand both sides. Pat chose to work with her body's innate ability to heal, not against it.
Your body is capable of more than you think. It just needs the right support.

Why Most New Year's Resolutions Fail By February

You've seen it before. January starts strong - new gym membership, meal prep containers, grand plans. By Valentine's Day? Back to square one.
Here's the truth: resolutions fail because they're built on restriction and willpower. Your body doesn't respond well to either.

Real, lasting change comes from supporting what your body already wants to do - heal, balance, and thrive. Simple, sustainable steps beat dramatic overhauls every time.
Instead of fighting your body this year, work with it. Give it the nutrients it craves, the rest it needs, and the support it deserves.
